What we keep, and what we can't

Last updated 1 August 2026.

The short version

Your birth details and your reading are never stored on our servers. We can't look them up, and neither can anyone else.

That is a claim about our own systems, and it is precise rather than absolute. Taking a payment necessarily involves Stripe, and running a website necessarily involves a host — both of which are covered below. We would rather tell you exactly where the edges are than say “we collect no data” and be wrong.

Your birth details

Your date, time and place of birth are sent to our server to compute your chart, and to Anthropic's Claude API — as part of the computed chart — to generate your reading. They are not written to any database of ours afterwards.

Your name is never sent anywhere. It stays in your browser and is used only to greet you.

Your reading and your conversation

Both are stored in your browser's local storage, on your device. They are not stored on our servers. A copy of a just-generated reading may sit in server memory briefly so that a failed page load doesn't charge you twice; it is not written to disk and disappears when the process restarts.

What you've bought

Held in a signed cookie in your browser, not in a database. The cookie records which readings you own and a fingerprint of the chart they belong to. That fingerprint is one-way — your birth details cannot be recovered from it.

Cookies

We set no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies — which is why this site has no cookie banner. The cookies we do set are the ones the product cannot work without:

aia_ent (one year) — the signed record of which readings you own, described under “What you've bought” above. aia_pending (two hours) — set while a checkout is in progress, so your purchase reaches you when you return from Stripe. aia_region (90 days) — set only if you enter a regional access code; ordinary visitors never receive it.

Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages, under its own policy. Everything else this site remembers lives in your browser's local storage, covered above — clearing this site's data removes all of it, cookies included.

Payments

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or receive your card details. Stripe holds what a payment processor must: your email address, card information and IP address, under their own privacy policy. We deliberately do not send Stripe your birth details or anything derived from them.

If you ask us to email you a restore link, your address is taken from that Stripe payment, used once to send the email, and not recorded by us.

Logs

Our host records ordinary web-server logs, including IP addresses. We also emit operational lines covering counts, costs and error flags — never your birth details, your reading, your questions or your email address.

Measurement

To see which steps of the site work — how many visitors reach the form, finish it, and read their report — we record, server-side and first-party only, which anonymous step was reached: never your name, birth details, questions, or reading. A random id links one visit's steps together; it exists only in the page's memory and is gone when you close the tab. Nothing about measurement is stored on your device, and nothing is shared with advertising or analytics companies.

If you arrive from an ad or a shared link, we keep the link's campaign tags, and the visit record (which includes IP address and browser type) is deleted automatically after 90 days. We cannot tie any of it back to you afterwards — the connecting id was never stored anywhere.

Deleting your data

Clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything we hold about you, because that is where it is. There is nothing to request from us and nothing for us to delete — but it does mean your reading goes too, so keep a copy first with the Save your reading button. Payment records held by Stripe are subject to their retention rules and financial record-keeping requirements.

Third parties

Anthropic (generating readings), Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, and — only if you receive a restore email — an email delivery provider. No advertising, no analytics brokers, no data sales.
